KXLH has the story, and you should go read it.
Read it? Good.
You know, the election has gotten just a tad out of hand when someone breaks into the Office of Political Practices. Right now, we don’t know if anything was stolen, or if something new was left behind, or what the reasons were, but we do know that the office charged with keeping our politics clean was invaded last night.
Who the fuck would do this? And what do they hope to gain? I don’t think we’ll find out before the election, it’s too close, but whatever it is, I’m sure it’s going to be interesting to discover. And whomever is involved should be very afraid, because while the code that OPP uses to fine pols for breaking the law is pretty toothless, the laws on breaking-and-entering and theft are not. This could prove devastating for the parties who did it, and any political party with whom they associate.
