Editing over distance

One of the fun parts of my job is that I get to travel a bit, and see other parts of the country. I’ve spent so much time in my car, which is fine, because I get to listen to podcasts that rock – might I recommend any of my podcasts – PoliticktickBOOM, Martinis in the Morning or This Ends Well – or a couple awesome others – Hypercritical, Build & Analyze and The Ihnatko Almanac from 5by5 by Dan Benjamin & Company, or Aisha Tyler‘s Girl on Guy, or my most recent favorite, Jackie Kashian‘s Dork Forest (Listen to the Lizz Winstead episode and the  Kristyn Burtt episode and pee with glee! I promise!)

And I get to tweet like this:

Yes, I was on the sideline of an NCAA game. Because some parts of my life are just that amazing. Good times indeed.

However, there is one big drawback to this whole being on the road – I rarely get to do what I want, because, well, like many traveling business people, I’m working. Which kinda blows.

Today is just weird because I”m having to edit by teaching someone to pull clips and assemble a show while I’m 800 miles away from home. Such fun! We’ll see how it goes. If you’re in Helena, you can see how it goes, too, as the show will be on Beartooth NBC tonight.
